A three week tour combining a two week exploration of wildlife and cultures of the northern circuit
                        with a week long stay at the spice island Zanzibar

For this particular tour, we recommend you to book a flight arriving at Kilimanjaro Airport with return from Dar es Salaam,
alternatively arriving at Nairobi Airport with return from Zanzibar.

Transfer from point of arrival to Arusha. Overnight

Depart Arusha at 09.00 am for a 30 minutes drive to Arusha National Park. Here you will participate in a half day walking safari and a half day game drive. You will be accompanied by an armed ranger for the walk, who will guide you through the forest up to the waterfall and the point for viewing the black and white colobus monkeys. During the game drive you will see the 7 Lakes of Momella and the Ngurduto Crater. At sunset, you will return to Arusha for dinner and overnight.

3 Depart Arusha at 09.00 am for a full day in Lake Manyara National
Park, famous for its green scenery, varied bird life, tree-climbing lions,
hippos and baboons. Overnight at the rim of the Great Rift Valley,
overlooking Lake Manyara.

Transfer to Lake Eyasi, the largest soda lake in Tanzania with diverse cultures settled around the area. Explore the real bushmen, the Hadzabe and the Datoga tribe.

Early breakfast at 6.00 am. Game drive en route to Serengeti National Park.
Serengeti is the largest and most famous park in Tanzania, known worldwide
for its endless plains, wildebeest-migration, herds of lions and other
predators like hyenas, cheetahs and leopards. Crocodiles can be found in the
Grumeti River, as well as hippos, giraffes, antelopes, and gazelles. Dinner
and overnight in the heart of Serengeti !

8-10 Three full days of exploring Serengeti.          L:  Serengeti Serena

11 Another game drive in Serengeti. In the afternoon you drive en route
(optional stopover at Olduvai) to the rim of Ngorongoro Crater for dinner
and overnight with an excellent view of the crater floor!

12 A full day in the Ngorongoro Crater. There is a very high possibility
of spotting the big 5 in one day: lion, rhino, elephant, buffalo and
leopard. Lunch will take place at the picnic site at the crater floor.

A full day in the Ngorongoro Crater. Overnight in Tarangire National Park.

Transfer to Tarangire National Park for a day of game viewing. This park is often referred to as the "home of elephants", you have a great chance to spot elephants in large groups gathering around the Tarangire River. Other animals to be spotted include leopards, lions, giraffes and even tree-climbing pythons!

15 Transfer to Arusha for a cultural tour at Ngiresi village.          L: Serena Mountain Village

Transfer to Arusha Airport for flight to Zanzibar, where you will unwind for six days. Highlights include exploring the Arabic architecture, tropical fruits & spices, deep sea fishing, scuba diving, snorkelling and last but not least the white palm fringed beaches and the azure waters of the Indian ocean!

21 Return to Arusha or Dar es Salaam for connecting flight home.

  • Transfer from Kilimanjaro / Arusha / Nairobi Airport and return. Note that for transfer from Nairobi Airport we use Impala Shuttle Service with departures daily at 0800 and 1400.

  • Accommodation on bed and breakfast basis while in Arusha

  • Accommodation on fullboard basis while on safari and Kilimanjaro

  • Accommodation on halfboard basis while on Zanzibar

  • Fourteen days safari as described above including park entry fees, camping fees / lodge accommodation, 3 meals a day while on tour, English speaking driverguide, 4WD landcruiser with open roof and sliding windows, cook, camping equipment, unlimited game viewing within park opening hours.
