Kisima Ngeda Lodge****
Kisima Ngeda Tented Camp is situated directly on the shore of Lake Eyasi. The camp lies amidst a beautiful natural palm and acacia forest with a colossal rock as a backdrop and a natural spring nearby. Offering stunning views over the seasonal soda lake looking up to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area on the one side and across to the Alipi escarpment on the other, one can enjoy the spectacular landscape as well as experience the daily life of the last few remaining hunter/gatherers the Hadza as well as their pastoralist nomadic counterparts the Barbaig.
Accommodation : The camp consists of five tents built on permanent platforms. All tents are thatched with traditional palm fronds and the en suite bathroom section is built with natural palm stems, giving it a rustic appearance.
There is hot and cold running water supplied by our spring and heated through environmentally friendly ‘kuni boilers’ that burn dry palm fronds. Toilets are flush type and we have a proper septic system. Furniture and bedding is comfortable and in keeping with traditional safari style. From all tents offer a beautiful view of the lake.
With 7 spacious tents with private verandahs overlooking the lake. Intimate dining overlooking Lake Eyasi. Kisima Ngeda’s décor draws on elements from the surrounding landscape and incorporates elements of traditional Hadza culture.
