As a wholly Tanzanian owned and operated safari company, Kilidove Tours has a strong commitment to help communities benefit from tourism. This extends beyond hiring Tanzanians in all operational and guiding positions.

Our Community Projects:

  • “HELP BUILD TULEENI A HOME” project of small orphanage in Moshi to have their own permanent accommodation and education facilities that they can accommodate more orphans living in Kilimanjaro region. Among recent fundraising includes the ‘ 2013 Build Tuleeni a Home Marathon’ whereby all staffs of Kilidove Tours (guides, porters and office staffs) and ‘friends of Kilidove’ participated into full(42km), and half marathon (21km) to raise funds to contribute to the project.
  • “URU WATER PROJECT” we supported a project that supply clean water to more than 7,000 in Uru-Kitandu, people living on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. The project was facilitated by Tuleeni Orphans Home located in Moshi town. The families in question have stay without water supply for more than one and a half decade.  Therefore the organization granted permit to fetch water from Ngomberi river and Springs by Pangani water basin authority and now the dream of a permanent solution of the problem has come true.
  • Our custom packages always includes a visit to the community projects we support, we always encourage our customers to ‘pack for purpose’
