Ruaha River Lodge

Ruaha River Lodge has 24 stone chalets, split between two separate dining and lounge areas to keep things intimate. Chalet features include:

• A large private veranda facing the river
• Twin or double bed configurations
• En-suite bathroom with solar-heated water

Every chalet is built from local stone and makuti thatch, with a sitting area and writing desk inside. Verandas look straight out over the Ruaha riverbed, where elephants, hippos and the occasional big cat pass by. The lodge doesn’t have fans or air conditioning, keeping things simple and close to nature, and the camp remains unfenced, so wildlife sightings can happen right outside your door.
