Join us on a 5-day safari adventure from Arusha, immersing yourself in the diverse landscapes, rich cultures, and abundant wildlife of Northern Tanzania. This journey perfectly blends wildlife encounters, cultural experiences, and scenic beauty across three iconic destinations: Serengeti National Park, Tarangire National Park, and Ngorongoro Crater.
Tarangire National Park
A full-day exploration of Tarangire National Park, known for its vast elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Many wildlife, including lions, giraffes, zebras, and antelope, while traversing the park’s scenic landscapes.
Ngorongoro Crater
Discover the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Ngorongoro Crater, often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” Descend into the crater for a day of wildlife viewing, where you can encounter the Big Five and a host of other species within this breathtaking natural amphitheater.
Serengeti National Park
It is known for its number of big cats of plains like lions, leopards, and cheetahs.
Depending upon the time of year, you might even have the chance to witness the great migration with hundreds of thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and Thompson gazelles. During the small rainy season in October and November, you will typically see these herds moving from the Kenyan Masai Mara through the northwest of the Serengeti to the plains in the south. After the great rainy season in April, May, and June, the herds slowly travel back through the western and northwestern parts of the Serengeti.

First day of Safari in Tanzania
After a short briefing in the morning, you will be taken to the Tarangire National Park. The park, with its endless tree savannah, including the impressive baobab trees and seasonal marshes, is also home to the largest elephant herds in northern Tanzania. In addition to elephants, you are also likely to spot giraffes, buffaloes, lions, zebras, wildebeests, leopards, and many other types of antelopes and gazelles. Upon arrival at the park, your guide will open the vehicle’s roof, and the extensive wildlife viewing will begin. Lunch will be taken at a picnic spot; in the afternoon, you will see more of this amazing and beautiful park. At sunset, you drive to your next accommodation for the night.

Serengeti Manyara National Park
Game drives safari en route to Serengeti
After breakfast, you will depart towards the Rift Valley, passing through Mto wa Mbu, Lake Manyara viewpoint, and Karatu in the cooler regions of the crater highlands. You will enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and stop for a short look into the crater from a viewing point and Olduvai Gorge rest stop. Continuing your journey around the crater, you will descend to the other side, enjoying your free “African massage” on the bumpy road, passing Maasai villages on your way to the Serengeti National Park. At the Naabi Hill entrance gate, you can walk to a viewpoint with spectacular views across the plains of the Serengeti savannah. You will then continue towards the Seronera Area in the central part of the Serengeti. The park offers a multitude of wildlife, including the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard. Late in the afternoon, you will check in at your accommodation for the night.

Full-Day Safari in Serengeti National Park
Following breakfast, you will spend the whole day on a game drive in the Serengeti National Park and have lunch at a picnic spot during the day. Depending upon the time of year, you can witness the great migration with hundreds of thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and Thompson gazelles. During the small rainy season in October and November, you will typically see these herds moving from the Kenyan Masai Mara through the northwest of the Serengeti to the plains in the south. After the great rainy season in April, May, and June, the herds slowly travel back through the western and northwestern parts of the Serengeti. With fluctuations in rainfall, this timetable can change, resulting in the animals migrating during different times and routes. Your guide will try his best to find the animals and ensure you can see them from the best spot in the national park.

As our Tanzania experience comes to an end, we will take you to Kilimanjaro or Arusha airport for your onward journey.
