Kilidove Tour is a Tanzania-based safari operator with 18+ years on the ground, and we have helped thousands travellers plan and experience trips that match who they actually are, not a generic itinerary built for someone else.

During a safari in Tanzania, you step into one of the last places on earth where wildlife still moves on its own terms. Two million wildebeest crossing open plains in the Serengeti during the Great Migration peak Season. You will see Lions resting in fig trees in the Ngorongoro Crater and Elephant in the Tarangire . This is not a zoo, a theme park, or a curated highlight reel. It is wild Africa, and Tanzania holds more of it than almost anywhere else on the continent.

Why Tanzania Safari With Kilidove Tours

Our guides at Kilidove Tours are licensed, experienced, and trained naturalists. They know the parks, the animal behaviors, and where the sightings are happening right now, not in a guidebook from three seasons ago.

We hold active membership with the Tanzania Association of Tour Operators and the African Travel and Tourism Association. These are not vanity badges. They hold us to conduct and quality standards, and they give you recourse if something goes wrong.

Tanzania Safari Wildlife, What You Will See

Tanzania is one of the few countries where you can realistically see all five on a single trip. Lion and elephant are almost guaranteed on any well-planned safari. Leopard takes patience and a good guide who knows where they rest during the day. Buffalo appear in large herds across most parks. Black rhino are present in the Ngorongoro Crater and in small numbers in a few other locations.

Every year, roughly 1.5 million wildebeest and several hundred thousand zebra and Thomson’s gazelle move in a clockwise circuit across the Serengeti and into the Masai Mara in Kenya before returning south. The timing shifts with the rains, but the broad pattern holds.

Tanzania’s wildlife list extends well past the headline names. Wild dog sightings have increased in Nyerere and Ruaha over the past decade. Cheetah are most reliably seen in the Serengeti’s open plains. Hippo are plentiful in any river system. The giraffe population across Tanzania is one of Africa’s healthiest.

For birdwatchers, Tanzania holds over 1,000 recorded species. Lake Manyara’s flamingos, the Ngorongoro’s raptors, and the Serengeti’s secretary birds are just three starting points on a list that can consume multiple dedicated trips.

Tanzania Safari Parks & Destinations

The Northern Circuit connects four parks ( Serengeti, Tarangire,Ngorongoro and lake Manyara ) within a few hours of Arusha and is the most visited safari route in Tanzania. The infrastructure is well developed, the game viewing is outstanding year-round, and the variety across four very different ecosystems keeps the days from feeling repetitive.

Southern and Western Circuit is for those For Travellers Who Want to go to further places such as Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve), Ruaha National Park and Mahale Mountains National Park
After the Safari Tourist go to Zanzibar (Stone Town, the spice routes, and 30 kilometres of white-sand coastline ). Most guests arrive on a short flight from the mainland, spend 3 to 4 nights between Stone Town and a beach resort, and leave wondering why they did not book longer. We handle the Zanzibar accommodation and transfers as part of the same itinerary.
