On this 2-day Nyerere safari from Zanzibar, you will leave the island for a wildlife visit and spend one night on the mainland. We will plan the flights, safari area and overnight stay together, so you can see how each part of the journey fits.
Your first day will focus on reaching Nyerere and beginning the safari with your driver-guide. After a night at the agreed lodge or camp, you will have time for the second-day activity in your program before returning to Zanzibar. Depending on the arrangements, that might be another game drive or a river outing.

Day 1
Fly to Nyerere and begin your safari
We will start with your journey from Zanzibar to the mainland. If your booking includes a hotel pickup, we will confirm the meeting point and departure details before travel. Keep your flight documents accessible and bring what you need for one night away.
Once you reach the agreed airstrip, you will meet the arranged driver-guide. After a briefing, you will begin the game-drive part of your visit. The flight’s arrival time will determine how much of the first day you have in the safari area.
You will explore the accessible wildlife habitats near your route, with your guide looking for animals and explaining what you encounter. Nyerere’s woodland and floodplain settings offer a different experience from the Zanzibar coast. Some stops may be about observing animal behavior, while others give you time to look more closely at birds and the surrounding habitat.
We will plan the meal break around the services included in your quotation. Tell us about dietary needs beforehand so they can be considered with the lodge and day’s arrangements.
After the drive, you will continue to the agreed lodge or camp for the night. This is the part of the journey that makes the trip different from a same-day safari: you will stay on the mainland rather than head straight back for an afternoon flight.
Your night at the lodge or camp
You will have one mainland overnight stay. We will show the property name, room arrangement and meals in your proposal, along with any alternative offered if the first choice is unavailable.
The location matters as much as the accommodation style. A camp inside the park and a lodge outside a gate can involve different journeys the next morning. We will consider that when matching the stay with your next activity and return flight.

Day 2
Another safari activity and your return to Zanzibar
After the overnight stay, you will continue with the activity agreed for your second day. If your program includes another game drive, you will head out with your guide before the return journey. If you have chosen a boat outing, we will plan around its meeting point, transfers and suitable conditions.
We will keep the morning focused on the experience you most want. Trying to add every available activity can leave the day dominated by transfers. A walk, boat safari and game drive are separate arrangements, not automatic parts of a two-day title.
When it is time to leave, you will travel to the departure airstrip for the agreed flight. Back in Zanzibar, you will continue to the drop-off point listed in your booking. Tell us if you will be staying at a different hotel after the safari.
Accommodation
No mainland overnight stay is required tonight because the proposed route returns to Zanzibar. Your Zanzibar hotel is separate unless included in your quotation.
