Serengeti Pioneer Camp offers 12 tents in total, including one two-bedroom family tent that sleeps up to five guests.

Room highlights:

  • Soft double or twin beds with mosquito nets
  • Private en-suite bathroom with flushing toilet and shower
  • Vintage 1930s-style decor with copper basins and luggage-trunk seating
  • Writing desk and comfortable deck chairs on each veranda
  • Two-bedroom family tent for parents travelling with children

Tents sit well apart from each other, giving guests privacy while staying close to the central dining and lounge area on the rocky outcrop. Solar power runs the camp day and night, keeping its environmental footprint low. Families with children of any age can book the dedicated family tent, and kid-friendly meals are available on request.

Short overview

Serengeti Pioneer Camp brings 1930s mobile-safari style to the Moru Kopjes area of southern Serengeti. Twelve tented suites overlook Lake Magadi and the open plains, giving guests front-row access to the Great Migration and the Big Five.
