Follow this 13-day Tanzania and Zanzibar journey from the foothills of Kilimanjaro through Lake Manyara, the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire, then on to Stone Town and the beach. The daily plan below sets out the activities and accommodation options along the route.

Day 1
Arrival to Kilimanjaro Airport
Meet and greet upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Arusha for dinner and overnight stay at full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Day 2
Visit the Foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro
Easy starts in Moshi, where you visit the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro on bananas and coffee farms. You will experience the farm-to-cup coffee experience, hike to the waterfalls, and visit the local villages living on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. On clear days, you may see the Kibo peak.

Day 3
Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you will be picked up at 8:30 a.m. from your accommodation in Arusha or Moshi. You will drive for 90 minutes to Lake Manyara National Park with a picnic lunch. On arrival at the park, you will go for a full-day game drive until late afternoon, when you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Lake Manyara National Park is a rewarding birdwatching destination, with waterbirds around the lake and woodland birds in its forest habitats. The park is also famed for its unique and elusive tree-climbing lions. Upon check-in at the park, a scenic canopy walk through the Manyara forest is incorporated into this tour.

Day 4 - 5
Serengeti National Park
Your journey continues to the world-renowned central part of Serengeti National Park, known for its vast plains, territories of the big cats, and the resident animals. Central Serengeti offers unrivaled wildlife encounters. You’ll enjoy game drives in search of the park’s resident predators and grazers. Two nights will be spent here.

Day 6 - 7
Serengeti National Park - Wildebeest Migration
Spend two nights exploring the Serengeti migration area selected for your travel dates. Northern Serengeti may offer opportunities to watch Mara River crossings when the herds are there; the southern plains around Ndutu are associated with the calving period. Rainfall and herd movements affect timing, and neither a river crossing nor a birth can be guaranteed. Your confirmed camp and route determine which area you visit.
Our safari itinerary typically includes two game drives each day: one in the early morning and another in the late afternoon. Between these adventures, you can relax at the camp, take in the stunning surroundings, and enjoy nutritious, warm lunches.
Two nights will be spent here.

Day 8
Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing across its grasslands, wetlands and forest. Look for wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, elephants and lions, with the chance to see black rhino. The crater also supports varied birdlife around its lake and wetlands. Sightings and bird concentrations depend on conditions; no particular animal is guaranteed.

Day 9
Tarangire National Park
Enjoy a morning safari in Tarangire National Park, looking for elephants and other wildlife among the baobab trees and woodland. After the game drive, continue to Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar on the same day. Tonight you will stay in Stone Town.
Day 9 — continued
Fly to Zanzibar and overnight in Stone Town
After your morning safari in Tarangire, transfer to Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar. On arrival, transfer to your selected Stone Town hotel for dinner and one overnight stay. The safari, flight and Stone Town overnight all take place on Day 9.

Day 10 - 13
Beach Relaxation
On Day 10, enjoy a guided morning tour of Stone Town before transferring to your selected Zanzibar beach hotel. Spend three nights at the beach, on Days 10, 11 and 12, with time to relax. Optional activities such as snorkeling, diving, a spice tour or Safari Blue can be arranged at an additional cost.
On Day 13, transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your onward flight.
